2007 Tip #1:
Saving for What?
So, did we enjoy the first and second day of daylight savings? Do we like the abundance of light at the end of the day? What are we going to do with the extra light and the extra time?
Saving for what?
Now is a great time to set some goals for increased activity and enhanced health! Spring is around the corner. It is in the air. It is in the light of the day! The days have been getting progressively longer and now we have this nice boost after working hours.
Well, that assumes you’ll get away from the office or from whatever building you work in---or whatever inner space you occupy or away from that zone in cyberspace that captures you and keeps you so busy.
Enough already of talking, tapping the keyboard and exercising your jaw, lips and brain. Time to exercise our bodies. Action! Movement! Get the ticker ticking at a faster pace! Burn some calories. Throw away whatever stress you’ve acquired during the work day or carried over from the week before. Time to enjoy!
From the Dune series, Odrate, a powerful woman leader with tremendous will power admonished us :
- It’s good to be alive.
- Strengthen your talents.
- Do not flow gently in the current.
- Swim !
- Use it or lose it.
(Chapter House Dune by Frank Herbert)
Yes. Let’s set a goal to do at least 20 more minutes of some exercise during this week. Don’t just passively save it up---use the light and the time to swim or bike or run or walk or play tennis or racket ballwhatever gets you going!
Get ready for Spring March 21st is around the corner!
