James S. Carman is an Employee Wellness Consultant for Kaiser Permanente of Northern California “Bringing Thrive alive for the people of Kaiser Permanente” with a health promotion program targeting Kaiser’s own employees. Formerly with UCSF, Jim led a public health campaign in collaboration with the California Department of Health Services to combat the trend of escalating obesity by encouraging physical activity and healthy eating among California’s workforce. As an avid triathlete and adventure racer, Jim enjoys maintaining a high level of fitness. He is a four-time finisher at the Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Kona, Hawaii.
